Corus adds to range of sections

Corus has launched a range of structural sections and renamed some of its old favourites in line with the new Construction Products Directive.

Universal beams UB and universal columns UC will be renamed UKB and UKC and will come under the newly launched Advance brand.

The Corus range is the first full range in the world to achieve CE marking. Corus has also extended the range, particularly in the larger sizes, with 21 beam and column sizes, plus a simplified method of steel grade specification and new system of section designation.
