Accord quadruples annual profit to £2.6m

Accord’s annual pre-tax profit figure has jumped to £2.6m, a four-fold rise on the £800,000 profit that the group made in the previous year.

Latest results (to 30 June) show turnover unchanged at £290m.

Accord has three business streams: highways; housing and environmental; and business and technical.

Turnover in the highways division ran to £140m and generated an operating profit of £3.0m. Accord’s other major division, housing and environmental, contributed a further £3.3m of operating profit, almost double the figure in the previous year, from a £130m turnover.

Accord’s joint ventures made a healthy contribution – the two in highways (Accord Jarvis and AccordMP) made a total operating profit of £580,000 from turnover of £11m.

Accord has 3,400 employees.
