Finning pre-installs dozer grade controls

Cat dealer Finning claims it has become the first plant manufacturer to offer a range of dozers factory fitted with machine control components to accompany an AccuGrade laser grade-control system, or GPS grade-control system.

Finning product specialist Simon Wilde said: “We have witnessed greater demand for this type of product in recent years. By pre-installing the grade- control systems into the dozers, we are able to save our customers an enormous amount of time and money.” It previously took three days to fit the system retrospectively.

Wilde also asserted that having either system would eliminate the need to place wooden stakes in the ground, saving money on manpower and materials. “The new machines, twinned with the GPS system, produce remarkable results. Customers can expect their productivity levels to increase by up to 50%, while reducing their monthly overheads at the same time.”
