The Manitowoc Crane Group has introduced the 200t-capacity Model 14000 hydraulic crawler crane, a replacement for its ageing mechanical Model 4100W.
The crane will offer a maximum boom of 86m and a maximum luffing jib of 113.8m. It will be powered by a 253kW Cummins QSL 8.9-litre engine. Line pull on the main drum is 140kN.
The firm said the new machine will also offer improved visibility from its Vision Cab, as well as smoother operation thanks to its Can-Bus with EPIC control system, that allows the management of six independent closed-loop hydraulic circuits.
Product marketing manager for Manitowoc Cranes, Al Kadow, said: “The Model 14000 is a fully hydraulic crawler crane of modern design, whereas the Model 4100W was one of the stalwarts of our traditional crane line, but they share many of the same characteristics.”
