Hire Association Europe (HAE) has applied to set up a dedicated training group that will match training needs against availability across the whole of the hire industry.
The association will operate the CITB-ConstructionSkills-sponsored training group, to be known as HireTrain, as a separate division of HAE, which will rely on members to identify and demand types of training and then give feedback on the quality of training provided.
Deputy chair of HAE Claire Gains said: “By setting up HireTrain, the hire membership can benefit from committment and resource specifically to address clear training gaps.”
HAE is looking for 20 “pro-active” hire companies to be part of the initial steering committee with a joining fee of £100 membership and urges interested parties to get in touch on 0121 380 4600.
