TowerLight unit combines site lighting with CCTV

Lighting specialist TowerLight has teamed up with security specialists to produce what it claims is a unique concept – a unit that combines site lighting with CCTV.

The manufacturer rigged its VT-1 SuperLight with monitoring equipment, to produce a self-contained unit that it hopes will help combat site theft, as well as improve crowd control and event management.

TowerLight’s Paul Hay said: “With lighting towers and CCTV monitoring sometimes mandatory on many outdoor events and construction sites, we thought it only sensible that we should combine the two operations. Security firms will be able to properly supervise the area right through the day and night.”
