£120m Herts/Beds housing scheme split 17 ways

Seventeen firms have crossed the threshold to pick up £120m of housing work in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.

The scheme is being rolled out by the Aldwyck Housing Association and the ARC consortium, which includes the Hundred Homes Society, Welwyn Garden City Housing Association, North Hertfordshire Homes and Luton Community Housing.

The deal covers new build and refurbishment tasks, as well as demolition, site preparation and clearance works over four years.

The value of work to be put through the framework agreement is expected to be in the region of £30m a year.

The jobs are likely to be split into packages with values of up to £20m-plus and may be divided up on the basis of geographical location.
