Balfour Beatty has been called in for what the company described as "robust and direct" discussions with Network Rail (NR) after over-running engineering works last week caused the biggest single delay this year - 8,000 delay minutes for works just outside London Waterloo.
NR confirmed to CJ that Balfour's head of rail operations, Manfred Leger, was called in by the rail operator's deputy chief executive, Iain Coucher, to discuss the incident.
