Terberg seals UK distribution deal with Elgin

Terberg Matec has been appointed as UK distributor for America's biggest road sweeper manufacturer Elgin. The company will be Elgin's sole chassis-fitting partner for the UK and will also handle service and parts distribution.

Elgin's Whirlwind MV2 sweeper incorporates a donkey engine, has a 6m3 hopper, twin gutter brushes, and is said to offer the widest sweeping path in the industry. The body can be fitted onto most 16t to 18t chassis and the manufacturer said the unit can sweep efficiently at speeds up to 10mph.

The sweeper fits well with Terberg's existing bin-lift equipment and recycling vehicle products. The company operates from locations in Warrington and Worksop, and has 15 service engineers around the UK.
