Neuson of Tredegar in South Wales has appointed two new dealers in Wales to handle the sales of its range of 1t to 10t site dumpers. Major Owen of Penrhyn will take on north and mid-Wales, while JE Rees & Son, based in Carmarthen will add dumpers to its existing range of Neuson skid steers and excavators.

JCB Heavy Products has won a Queen's Award for its success at selling heavy excavators, recognising an 87% increase in exports between 2003 and 2005.

Hewden has launched a series of quirky health and safety posters to alert staff to key health and safety concerns in the workplace. The posters, which are endorsed by the British Safety Council, use black and white photographs with humorous slogans.

The Hire Supply Company has introduced what it claims are the UK's first low-energy festoon lightbulbs, which cut energy consumption by more than 25%. The firm says the new 13W compact fluorescent light is the equivalent of a traditional 60W bulb, has a longer lifespan, and offers a clearer, whiter light.
