Metronet appoints Graham Pimlott as chairman

Metronet has announced that Metronet Rail chairman Keith Clarke will be replaced by non-executive chairman Graham Pimlott.

Pimlott, 57, will take up the role on 9 January 2007. He is currently chairman of the Export Credit Guarantee Department (ECGD) and Tilney Group. His last executive role was with Barclays, where he was director group planning, operations and planning.

Clarke, who is also chief executive of Atkins said: "I am delighted that Graham is joining as I believe that his wealth of board experience in both the private and public sectors will be enormously valuable to Metronet.
