The Catalyst consortium, which includes Bovis Lend Lease, has reached financial close on Lancashire County Council’s £250m Building Schools for the Future scheme.
The 27-year agreement will involve the construction of nine new primary and secondary schools in the first wave of the programme. There is also scope for the construction of 40 additional schools in subsequent waves.
Construction of the first three schools, Burnley and Pendle, has already started. They are due to be handed over in 2008. The remaining six schools are due to complete in 2010.
