Milton Keynes scaffold death inquest reopens

An inquest into the death of worker John Robinson following the Milton Keynes scaffolding collapse last April is due to reopen on 22 January and will last two weeks.

Robinson's death followed the collapse of 14 storeys of scaffolding during the construction of a £23m, 279-bedroom Jury's Inn hotel in the city centre. Two other men were injured in the incident. The Health & Safety Executive will be assisting the coroner with the inquest and will follow up any new information, which may come to light during the inquest, before deciding what action to take.

The project's developer/contractor is McAleer & Rushe from Northern Ireland.
