SIG, the supplier of insulation, roofing, and interior products, has announced record sales and profits for 2006. In a trading statement, the firm revealed that sales were up 17% on 2005. These figures include sales of £65m from the US business, which it announced it was disposing of last November.
SIG believes 2007 will realise further growth in its insulation business, driven by the changes to Part L of the Building Regulations. This will offset an expected decline in demand for insulation upgrading in existing properties until the new grant scheme (EEC3) comes into effect in 2008.
The company's preliminary results will be announced on 14 March.
