White Young Green pays £900,000 for Turner Holden consultancy

White Young Green (WYG) has bought Turner Holden (TH), a privately owned town planning consultancy based in Wellington, Somerset, for £900,000.

TH operates in the housebuilding sector.

The purchase is being funded by a combination of £540,000 of cash and 77,000 new shares. A top-up running to a maximum of £500,000 could be triggered if improved performance criteria are achieved during the first year’s trading under WYG's ownership.

John Purvis, chief executive, said: “Turner Holden brings a strong client base which will complement WYG’s existing town planning operations in the South West.”

Latest financial results from TH show that a turnover of £650,000 generated a pre-tax profit of £140,000 after adjustments for directors’ employment costs.
