Construction and housing firm Leadbitter has announced a record forward orderbook of £335m.
The firm, which turns over around £250m a year, said it had secured 21 new projects in April worth £114m. The largest of the haul was the £70m Stanhope Estate project in Ashford, Kent, awarded to its subsidiary, Denne, which it bought in September last year for £17m.
The project will see Denne refurbish existing dwellings, provide new infrastructure and replace seven blocks of flats with 442 homes.
Leadbitter managing director Bob Rendell said: "Leadbitter is a progressive company and these are exciting times for the group as we move forward with our plans for future growth.
"The acquisition of Denne Construction in Kent last year has contributed significantly to these plans and we remain focused on continuing our policy of profitable growth through both strategic acquisition and controlled organic growth."
