Newspaper round-up: 4 July

The Guardian reports on Transport for London’s (TfL) £2bn dispute with Metronet regarding cost overruns on the London Underground. TfL told PPP arbiter rail regulator Chris Bolt that Metronet should not receive a penny more of public money. It quoted a TfL source as “very confident” about its case.

The Independent reports on figures published by the Chartered Institute for Purchasing and Supply that show growth in the construction sector has accelerated in June to its highest level in three years.
