Bovis Lend Lease wins £75m capital project

Bovis Lend Lease has seen off three heavyweight rivals to clinch a £75m office and residential deal in central London for joint clients Capital & Counties and Prudential.

The news means the end of the road for Sir Robert McAlpine, HBG and Laing O'Rourke.

A source said: "Bovis has the first stage of the two-stage tender in the bag, but how often is it that the winner of the first stage doesn't go on to take the full-blown contract?"

The two-year project includes a nine-storey office complex.
