Power tools are used extensively throughout the construction industry. And, unfortunately, they are also involved in a large and growing number of incidents and accidents each year.
GAP Group recommends that such equipment is used only by trained personnel that are fully aware of the risks involved in the operation of these potentially hazardous tools, and that power tools are maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. It also recommends that operators are provided with, and encouraged to use, proper protective equipment including hard hats, ear defenders, safety gloves and goggles.
