Enterprise and Accord have announced that they plan to merge. The move will create a support service business with a £1.1bn-a-year turnover.
Enterprise, with a turnover running to £800m a year, has been active in the utilities sector for over 40 years. Customers include BT, MoD, Severn Trent and Liverpool City Council.
Accord offers maintenance services to a number of social housing organisations. Created in 1999, its annual turnover now runs to £300m. The list of Accord’s main customers includes Oxfordshire County Council, Transport for London and the Highways Agency.
Announcing the news, the two groups said that their expanded customer base will benefit from the wider use of WorkMaster, Enterprise’s state-of-the-art ICT system.
