National and regional outfits are in the mix for up to £125m-worth of housing deals in London.
Twelve firms are set to work on mainly new build tasks for the North River Alliance (NRA) - a consortium of seven registered social landlords.
The work has been divided up into two packages - contracts under £3.6m and those more than £2.5m.
The line-up for the first category comprises regional players Mulalley, Roof, Sandwood, Indecon, Kind & Co and Breyer Group.
In the mix for Lot 2 are local firms Higgins Construction, Durkan and Como Group plus national players Galliford Try Partnership, Lovell and Mansell.
Nine firms were in the hunt for contracts in the less than £3.6m category, while 11 vied for the second category of work.
The NRA aims to deliver at least 1,000 new homes and refurbish others across eight London boroughs over the four years of the framework agreement.
The areas are Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Hackney, Haringey, Islington, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest.
