Six share E Yorkshire civils work

Six contractors out of an original field of 10 hopefuls will share in £52m-worth of civil engineering work for the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

In the frame are Morrison, Wright Civil Engineering, Wold Construction, PBS Construction, Hall Construction and C Spencer.

The works involved are mainly on highways projects, but tasks such as coastal defence, sewerage, drainage and hard landscaping are also included. There is the possibility that some building jobs may crop up as well.

The framework agreement is due to run for four years.
