The Independent reported that Taylor Wimpey is set to enter the FTSE 100, following a quarterly review of the FTSE.

The Guardian declared that the UK housing market has shifted from a boom to a 'glow' as the latest Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Rics) report into house prices showed that 1.8% more surveyors reported a fall rather than a rise.

China offered a first look at the world's biggest airport terminal in Beijing, designed by Sir Norman Foster. The new Terminal 3 building will allow 90 million passengers to pass through Beijing Capital Internation Airport by 2012. Both the Times and the Guardian pointed out that the new building is twice the size of Heathrow's T5  but took less than four years to build from start to fininsh
