A site worker was killed while working at Drax Power Station, Selby, it emerged this week.
Alwyne Parkinson, 59, is believed to have been subcontracted to work for Killingholme-based Clark Construction.
A spokesman for Drax said: "It is with deep regret that we confirm the death of a contractor involved in an incident at Drax Power Station shortly after 3pm on Friday, September 28.
"Site emergency plans were enacted immediately and the injured man was taken to hospital by the emergency services, where he died three days later on Monday, 1 October."
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and police are understood to be conducting a joint investigation into Parkinson's death.
Clark Construction was unavailable for comment.
