David Hurcomb has joined Carillion’s main board as part of a shake-up of senior posts which sees him take on the task of leading both Carillion’s Building and Private Finance operations.
Hurcomb arrived at Carillion in 2005 from Balfour Beatty. Prior to that he had been on Mansell’s main board.
John McDonough, Carillion’s chief executive, said: “He is a welcome addition to the board.”
As a result of Carillion’s UK civils business being incorporated into the infrastructure business and headed by Roger Robinson, Carillion’s current UK civils top man Peter Clay is leaving. He is reported to have been told only last week that he would no longer be needed.
