MSK Waste Management & Recycling use their first Volvo C series

MSK Waste Management & Recycling is using the first Volvo C series wheeled excavator equipped with a hydraulically adjustable cab at its bespoke facility in Barking, East London.

The cab of the 17.5t operating weight EW160C can be raised to give a 5m sight line and it is fitted with an audible buzzer (if the cab door is opened); a hose rupture valve on the lift cylinder, emergency stops in the cab and at ground level; and gravity fed cab lowering in the event of a dead engine (from both cab and ground level). It will be used for general rehandling and machine feeding of a variety of inert construction and demolition waste mater.
