Rebrand sees Gleeson Building lose parent name

Gleeson Building is finally dumping its former parent company's name to become GB Building Solutions Ltd.

The firm has been trading for two-and-a-half years since the management buyout of MJ Gleeson's building division in July 2005.

A name change had to be made within three years as part of the terms of the deal. The firm's junior board has been working on the re-branding for months.

Martin Smout, chairman and chief executive of GB Building Solutions, said: "The business has been completely separate from MJ Gleeson for over two years now and has built up a strong customer-base and a growing reputation. The name change to GB Building Solutions is the final positive step in this chain. The name change will not change any element of the way that we operate."
