Morgan Est purchases Sennebogen cranes from EH Hassell

Morgan Est has purchased five Sennebogen lattice boom crawler cranes from UK distributor E H Hassell including the first two 6100HD construction units supplied in the UK.

With an auxiliary jib fitted to the 52.3m main boom, the 100t maximum capacity 6100HD can lift loads of up to 12t,using two 16 kN winches. A hydraulically extendable undercarriage, 36t of rear counter weight and a 15t car body counterweight maximise stability, and power is provided by a 354kW Caterpillar C15 engine.

Other cranes in the order were two 680HD units and a 650HD; all were fitted with camera systems, anti-vandal guards, additional lighting and special tunnel light systems.

The contractor has also ordered a further seven cranes for 2008 delivery: another two 680HD; three of the lighter 650HD; and a pair of 683HD telescopic crawlers.
