The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) has submitted a planning application for the London 2012 aquatic centre, following a period of consultation.
ODA head of town planning Niall McNevin said: "In order to ensure we realise the full legacy potential of the venue, we have been consulting with a wide range of potential users to ensure that the venue meets with the needs of of wide range of people and groups."
The application comes just days after the aquatic centre hit the headlines again with renewed speculation over how much it would cost to build.
