Balfour Kilpatrick has landed a £4.3m deal to provide mechanical and electrical work on college scheme in Glasgow for main contractor HBG.

HBG recently beat Dawn and Miller to land an estimated £329m deal to build a campus at Hatfield for Anniesland College.

Balfour Kilpatrick’s package will include provision of mechanical services, including low temperature hot water heating systems, a chilled water system, close control installation, and various supply and extract systems that include smoke ventilation.

The firm will also install building control systems, above ground drainage and plumbing systems, and some gas works.

HBG starts next month and the scheme, which is designed by architect HBG, will be built in phases over the next three years with the teaching block due for completion by December this year and a workshop and technical studies block by March 2010.
