Redland, the rebranded roofing firm recently divested from the Lafarge Group, is looking to regain its strong position in the UK market with an emphasis on new products and an extensive R&D investment programme.
Relaunching the 90-year-old Redland brand, Andy Dennis, head of sales at Redland, said the company would use its heritage to drive interest in its new roofing products.
The company is to launch a flat-plate solar thermal system, able to provide up to 70% of a three-bedroom household's hot water needs in a 4m2 collection area, and a new weathered clay plain tile range.
It will also introduce a new radiant barrier. Originally developed for the Asian market, it reduces the transmission of radiant heat and prevents rooms suffering from overheating.
