Carillion and Igloo have been selected as preferred developer for the London 2012 Olympic media centre, it has emerged.
The Olympic Delivery Authority is understood to have chosen the joint venture over rival bidder Bouyges with Development Securities, according to Contract Journal's sister publication Estates Gazette.
The jv will now work with Olympic legacy masterplanners KCAP, EDAW and Allies & Morrison to work up plans for the broadcast centre to be used by the world's media throughout the 2012 Games.
An ODA spokesperson refused to confirm and said: "The procurement has not yet concluded and we expect to make an announcement on the contract in the coming weeks."
