Which contractors have turned in the best results so far this year? Our league table will tell you. It ranks contractors according to profit before tax, and also includes figures for turnover, and performance in the previous financial year.

All results are the most recent full-year results available.
The table only contains companies with turnovers in excess of £250m where construction operations account for at least half of turnover.
Skanska UK's PBT figure is Earnings Before Tax, the profitability easure submitted to the Swedish stock exchange, where Skanska's parent is listed. It is almost identical to PBT.
