Contractors working at the Dounreay nuclear complex will be banned from bringing their vehicles onto site for one month if they are guilty of bad driving.
Over the past year, 30 violations of the Highway Code have been reported on roads at Dounreay in Caithness, according to the site's newspaper, Dounreay News.
Workers have been seen driving while holding mobiles, speeding, and not stopping for pedestrians at crossings.
The management has warned staff and contractors that they face a "chilly walk" from the site car park if banned from bringing their vehicles onto the site.
Edmund Nuttall subsidiary Ritchies is one of the contractors working at Dounreay.
