Morgan Sindall was founded in 1977 as Morgan Lovell by current executive chairman John Morgan (pictured) and Jack Lovell. After the acquisition of William Sindall plc in 1994, the company floated on the London Stock Exchange.
In 2007, Morgan Sindall became one of the biggest construction companies in the UK after the acquisition of Amec's Built Environment business.
This helped Morgan Sindall deliver a record turnover of £2.1bn in its full year results for 2007. Pre-tax profit also reached a record high of £58m.
