Date set for Donald Trump's £1bn golf course inquiry

A planning inquiry into US tycoon Donald Trump's plans for a £1bn golf complex in Aberdeenshire is to go ahead on 10 June.

The Scotsman reported that evidence in the inquiry could be completed as early as 4 July - American Independence Day.

Around 30 witness both for and against the proposed development at the Menie Estate near Balmedie will appear at evidence sessions before the inquiry, but it is not known whether Trump himself will appear.
