Carillion, Costain, Edmund Nuttall, Lagan Construction and John Sisk and Son (Holdings) have all made the shortlist to construct Olympic Park’s focal Central Park bridge.

The Heneghan Peng Architect-designed bridge will form a focal point in the park, spanning 30m above the River Lea between the Olympic Stadium and the Aquatics Centre.

The contract includes the construction of a single bridge that will be transformed into two footbridges linked by a central blade-like walkway following the Games.

In making the announcement, the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) confirmed Costain, Edmund Nuttall, Lagan Construction and John Sisk and Son (Holdings) had also made the shortlist for the construction of wetlands bridges.
