A panel of a dozen experts who will oversee the creation of new eco-towns will be announced today.
The panel is to play a key role in whittling a shortlist of 15 sites down to 10 eco-towns and is expected to challenge the developers to meet high sustainability standards, repoted the Financial Times.
Last week 15 potential eco-town sites were announced by the government, which intends to build 100,000 homes to environmentally friendly standards.
