The fate of a £40m housing and leisure development, including a golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus, hangs in the balance after a decision on its approval was deferred.
Members of Aberdeenshire Council’s Kincardine and Mearns area committee spent almost an hour listening to opponents and supporters of the development at the Ury Estate in Stonehaven.
But the committee members deferred a decision on the development until after a visit to the site, the Scotsman reported.
The development is to include the golf course as its centrepiece, and will also feature a hotel, six golf lodges and 230 homes.
