Roman Abramovich has announced new plans to build the most expensive private residence in Britain.
The billionaire owner of Chelsea has submitted plans for an eight bedroom residence in Knightsbridge, London, which is expected to be worth around £150 million.
The planned development will house a cinema, indoor swimming pool, steam room and entertainment room all set across eight stories reports the Daily Telegraph.
A detached Victorian Villa in west London currently holds the current record for most expensive private residence in Britain at £80 million, but if approved Abramovich’s development in Lowndes Square will totally eclipse this. A price of £150 million has been quoted by estate agents, with each individual apartment in the development likely to cost around £20 million.
