Waterfront housing scheme set to rejuvenate Inverness

By Daniel Franklin

Plans have been released for a waterfront housing scheme in a severely rundown area of Inverness.

The multi-million pound plans unveiled by Caledonian Property Partnership for a project on a derelict industrial site in South Kessock would include a 45m landmark building. The main building will be inspired by a lighthouse and would provide residents with a view of the River Ness.

This redevelopment of 190 properties will include social and private housing and will be built within the next five years, reports the Scotsman.

The plans have been prepared by Inverness-based architect Colin Armstrong, and look to completely redevelop an area regarded as one of the most deprived places in the Highlands.
