Doncaster has the highest number of plumbers and Ealing the most residential builders, according to the latest data from Barclays Bank.
The survey of over 600,000 small business customers of Barclays highlights the areas in England and Wales where professions are most prominent.
According to the data, Basildon has the highest number of electricians with Doncaster registering the highest number of plumbers.
If you are looking for a residential builder you need to move to Ealing and for painters and decorators you should consider Stevenage.
Inner London is the key area to avoid when looking for all trades with boroughs such as Camden, Kensington, Chelsea and Hammersmith and Fulham all holding the lowest concentrations of building-related trades.
John Davis, marketing director of Barclays Local Business, said: “Most of us have had experiences of trying to track down a plumber or electrician and this analysis highlights where different business types dominate.”
