Scottish local government craft workers have voted to strike in a row over pay.
The workers, members of Ucatt, voted 67.9% in favour of strike action over a 2007 below-inflation pay offer of 2.45%.
Ucatt Scotland regional secretary Harry Frew said: "Ucatt workers have overwhelmingly voted for strike action because of the appalling manner in which they have been treated by local government bosses. Hard working craft workers should not be forced into poverty through low pay."
A date for the industrial action is still to be deciced.
