Indeco launches compaction plate attachments

Indeco officially launching its range of US-built compaction plate attachments at SED 2008. Ranging from 30cm wide IHC 30 to the IHC200 at 89cm wide, the four-model range fits carriers from 1.4t to 45t.

An oil-bath eccentric bearing system is used to provide centrifugal forces from 1,540kg on the smallest unit to 10,770kg on the largest to give ground pressures of between 0.88kg/cm² and 1.28kg/cm².

Large rubber shock absorbers stop the vibration passing into the dipper arm while a pressure and flow limiting valve ensures the system cannot be damaged by incorrect set up.

Indeco UK’s John Jackson likes the safety angle: “With these plates you don’t have to send somebody into the trench to compact the soil - you can do it from ground level.”
