Vauxhall Astravan gets higher specification

By Geoff Ashcroft

Vauxhall used SED to show off a new sporty concept vehicle called the Astravan Black Edition.

Based on the Sportive SE 1.9CDTi with 150hp turbodiesel engine, the Black version gets extra specification that could appeal to the more gregarious driver.

The Astravan Black Edition comes with 18-inch Sports Star alloy wheels, a twin-pipe rear exhaust, sports steering wheel, leather Recaro seats and a chequered-flag livery over the bonnet, roof and tailgate.

Vauxhall says it prepared its three Black Edition concepts – there’s also a Corsa van and Vivaro model available - to show what can be done to its base models by applying a little extra imagination and using extra specification already available through Vauxhall dealers.
