Carillion bags £50m redevelopment job

Carillion has landed a role as preferred developer on a £50m redevelopment scheme in Stockport.

The contractor will redevelop a 0.6ha mixed-use site on Wellington Road South for Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council

The scheme will include a new headquarters for the council on Edward Street.

It is set to open in 2010.
