HSS hooks up with online rental marketplace

National tool and equipment hire firm HSS is to join one of Europe’s largest online rental marketplaces – Erento.

Set up as a internet platform for hire firms of all varieties, Erento has recently launched itself onto the UK market and offers users the opportunity to compare equipment for rental in their local area.

So from cars and caravans to wood-chippers and wedding limousines, almost everything imaginable is available at www.erento.co.uk.

With a big player like HSS on-board, Erento management has high hopes.

“We’ve teamed up with Hire Association Europe and we’re talking to other key hire firms who want to be part of our marketplace now that HSS have signed up,” says the website’s Clinton Patterson.

“Within a year we expect to be in the Google top slot as soon as anyone types in the word ‘hire’ or ‘rent.’

He expects to see greatest success with smaller hire companies that might not already have their own website and can then use Erento as their sole online marketing channel.

“Hire companies supply us with details and pictures of what they’ve got to rent,” he explains.

“Potential customers key in their location and search for what they’re after to generate a list of matches ordered by distance from the client.”
