Kier has caned three rivals to win a £20m education-sector deal for Bath and North East Somerset council. The job involves redeveloping the Writhlington School at Radstock, near Bath.
The design and build scheme was also contested by Cowlin, Norwest Holst and Willmott Dixon.
Work is due to start on site by the end of June, with opening planned for the start of the Easter 2010 term.
