World's first CBR30Plus self-erecting tower unveiled

The world’s very first CBR30Plus self-erecting tower crane from Terex Comedil was unveiled on the Ladybird Cranes stand at SED.

Sporting a 001 serial number, the 2.5t capacity crane is based on the company’s unique ballast design which incorporates all the electronics inside the ballast itself. “It just keeps it out of harms way and gives the machine a cleaner look,” said managing director Robert Bird.

The company has also received a lot of attention for its CTT-51, pedestrian operated, top-slewing tower crane. “It has 1m mast sections meaning it can fit in a lift shaft very easily and the base is only 3m meaning it takes up very little space on site,” Bird added.
