The announcement comes from the residential and commercial developer as the number of houses being built has dropped to its lowest point in 12 years. The cuts equate to around 80 people losing their jobs.

Housebuilder Redrow have also had to cut jobs this week, losing around 200 people from their workforce reports the Telegraph.

Chief Executive of Crest Nicholson, Stephen Stone said: “We are responding to current market conditions, and it is a very sad period.”
